domain root landing page the page you get sent to if you try to load thehomeland.org/ with nothing following the slash
THL, a History a history about how thehomeland.org has changed over the decades

Jumble Daily Answers A collection of past answers for the Daily Jumble newspaper unscrambling puzzle, beginning 2026. The answers between days are not obscured, so you might spoil yourself if you're looking up only a single day in a series
Connections Answers A spoiler-heavy archive of the daily what-they-turned-out-to-be's for the NYT game, Wordle. Listed are only the ones I played myself; the answers are not copied from anywhere else

Clerihews a smattering of poems in the Clerihew style I made up
THL Observances Calendar Observances I made up, at least one for each day of the year
Literary Style Brainstorms I like my fiction to have some kind of underlying absurdity or gimmick to it; it could be just that the place settings are introduced and departed from palindromically. This is a list of styles I wish to challenge my writing to contain someday, to set it apart from the roteness of simple narrative
My Destiny 2 Guardians' Backstory I am a long-time player of Destiny 2 (and Destiny 1) through pretty much all seasons and DLC apart from raids, trials, or dungeons, and I devised each of my Guardians a backstory as to who they were before being selected, mostly
Bowling Ideas As a long-time 10-pin & 9-pin bowler (not string pin though), I came up with a bunch of terms and ideas to mix up the normal game, which don't influence how the game itself is played per se
Keeping the Sabbath A researched list of restrictions for what is dis/allowed on the Sabbath, as a personal experiment to try keeping it from the perspective of an “old testament”-only perspective (no talmud, no christian commentary, etc)
Grids to Copy/Paste A collection of printable or copy/paste-to-image-to-print grids for various purposes
Discord Counting Channel Ideas An emerging discord boredom game has become where users simply count the next number in the series, such as one user saying 1, the next one saying 2, etc, with no time limit, just whenever you see it, even months later as the case may be. Some bots are even showing up on the scene, which keep track of which one is the proper number in succession. This is a list of my own personal inventions of threads, akin to this, but different number styles or subjects to reply incrementally

Guides

Chaewon Guide 2024 Another discord-bot kpop card-collecting commands-used-frequently list
Hand & Foot: Hodges Variant a long-used custom rules variant of the regionally-popular US standard-deck card game, Hand & Foot

Demonin-Counting Emojis On a discord server hosted by incremental games coder Demonin, we, the players of the silly #counting channel, have developed emoji reacts to certain numbers. They became so numerous, there needed to be a guide
Panic Attack Exfil Guide Into my late 40s, I have been getting stuck in my head a lot with panic about what the future may hold for me. Here is a guide for myself, made during the times when I was thinking more clearly, to talk myself off the edge
Zelda TOTK Priority Ranks It has become my yearly hobby to beat Zelda TOTK and BOTW, and in doing so, I've opted to rank matters to accomplish by priority, with notes that apply particularly to me, about ways to carry them out, including YT videos or otherwise links I used in past attempts which worked out. Likewise, Zelda BOTW Priority Ranks has its own entry

Autobiographical

Lateral With Tom Scott intended to be an exhaustive list of every puzzle and answer of every episode of the podcast Lateral with Tom Scott
Redwheel IDHWL Specifics One of my favorite background noise content sources is the YouTuber “RedWheel” who reads off “I Don't Work Here Lady” subreddit threads aloud. Occasionally I will want to refer back to one as it applies to a situation, but the titles of the videos aren't helpful to find the particular reads. This hopes to remedy that
Car Talk "Hears Us Say It" Jokes a collection of the little “hears us say it” jokes at the end of each Car Talk radio show episode where they identify “this is NPR” in a silly way. The running gag of the jokes is that, to the effect, “x entity is rethinking their y position, when they hear us say it, this is NPR.” Car Talk. The episodes tend not to be available year-round (only a few at a time within a window). The joke is so quickly missed and is something I would not imagine there could be such a wide variety of ways to phrase it, that I am surprised it has as many variations as it does, so I wanted to jot all those down
Faster-Than/Etc Idioms, and Feelings I think I figured out a good way to get guys to speak about their feelings: have them express those feelings idiomatically. I wanted to revisit an old post from the ablestmage wordpress days, and in culling a GPT-prompted list I had to really tailor the style for, one, “tougher than a winter morning when the car won't start,” really struck me

Technical Difficulties' Prizes A list of fictional prizes awarded at the end of the game of trivia, on the Technical Difficulties' youtube show

Kidney Stone Food List I have had 24 kidney stones, 3 of which requiring surgery to correct (2 baskets, 1 laser, all 3 with stent. 0 out of 100 stars, do not recommend). Here is my current list of foods I avoid or allow. Before I slipped up on my most recent stone, I had a gap of 3 years with no stones by keeping to this list
My Adapter Is Used For a collection of AC adapters and plugs that my devices use, which I am documenting so I can research a model number/etc later to find out what its original purpose was

Suitcase Trip Checklist A simple list of the items I personally need to bring with me on a trip that lasts longer than just a day or two, as a reminder
K-pop MV Anniversaries A list of music videos and release dates important/relevant to me. I am an admin for a Taeyeon fan club on FB, and I wanted to make a post each year which highlighted “this mv came out x years ago” for specifically Taeyeon & SNSD, and figured I'd add more as I encountered them
Kpop Birthdays & Anniversaries A mixture of birthdays of Kpop stars, MV anniversaries, and other notable events useful to me, to look forward to and celebrate
AKB48 PVs with English Descriptions The YouTube links to AKB48 PVs (music videos) are notoriously difficult to find because they tend not to have English names nor are displayed in English, so here is a list of those music videos, with English descriptions, to find them easier
Levitical Adherence In a self-enforced experiment to adhere to as many judeochristian levitical laws as I can muster, I wanted to document each chapter's worth, and see how difficult it would be for me to adjust my daily patterns to line up

Miscellany

GPT Converters & Tools A small growing collection of simple HTML/JS/CSS (at most) files that ChatGPT/etc generated for me, to help with mass-conversions of text. A few silly calculators are mixed in

The Week Counting Problem A thought exercise seeking an answer, discovered when “counting by weeks” did not add up to 52 weeks; it adds up to 48 or 49 weeks. How is it solved?
The 2-Space Offset Problem A thought experiment not really seeking an answer, discovered when ticking off boxes in a grid from my 1.5L Hydration Progress graph one day
Predictions of Future Events Assuming we don't eradicate ourselves by electing terrible leadership to destroy us all, here are several predictions I feel will occur in the future, perhaps within 50-100 years
Deprecated Entries A list of entries which used to be found on this whole page, but I opted to shelve for the Time Being

New Years Resolutions

NYR2025: NTM Albums For every weekend of 2025, my New Year's Resolution has been to listen to one new-to-me album each weekend, and really give it an earnest, focused listen without much distraction if possible, and evaluate them. This is a list of all the albums so far, and what I thought of them
NYR2026: Chuck Connor Films Instead of holding to a date, the goal for 2026 is to try to watch full filmography of the actor Chuck Connors, more famously known for his portrayal of Lucas McCain on The Rifleman TV show
