Demonin-Counting Emojis

On the discord server run by Demonin, a coder of incremental games (Patreon), there is a channel called #counting (and at least 2 others like it) where participants will emoji-react to certain numbers as they come up. This is a guide to which emojis go to which numbers.

Specifics

These have numbers which are easily identifiable.

  • Prime numbers - :cut_of_meat: - it resembles a 'prime steak' or 'prime rib'
  • Palindromic numbers - :infinity: - they are the same forwards and backwards, i.e. 8448, 54345.
  • Technical Sequential - :black_joker: - these are numbers which, if put in order, would be +1 sequential, i.e. 45312. Circling back around is allowed, such as 10298 (as if 0 could bridge a repeat from 9 into 1)
  • True Sequential - :db_dragon: - numbers similar to Technical Sequential, but are in proper order, i.e. 45678.

Ending With Or Containing

  • 69 - :cancer: - for the childish reason you'd expect. nice.
  • 420 - :leaves: - for the childish reason you'd expect: the devil's lettuce
  • 666 - :smiling_imp: - for the childish reason you'd expect: the number of the beast
  • 3-of-a-kind - :(the numeral): - emoji-reacting the numeral, if the counted number contains 3 or more of a single numeral, i.e. 5535 is reacted with :five: and so on, except specifically 3-of-a-kind eights gets the :8ball: instead.

Circumstantial

  • Number before a Prime, Sequential, or Palindrome - :jinx: - this was implemented as an incentive to count the number before a more major emoji-warranted number, so that counting wouldn't stall out waiting for someone to make the count just before the one that would gain the big react. It's a kind of consolation prize, akin to a volleyball player who sets the ball for someone else to spike.
  • multiple-awarders - :stadium: - warrants two or more established reactions, i.e. 46664 gets :infinity: for a palindrome, :imp: for the mark of the beast, and :6: for the 3-of-a-kind sixes.

Other

  • Personal Preference - :tada: - whenever a number contains one that you personally enjoy or wish to celebrate.
  • Wrong Count - :1234: - this indicates than a number you counted is out of order; please DO NOT delete the comment, but instead EDIT your comment with the correct count.
